Lost in Ravelry

As usual, I am meant to be sorting out the house whilst the mini-monster sleeps and middle and big monsters are happily (for me, not them!) at school, but once again I find myself surfing the annals of Ravelry looking for design inspiration and adding to my queue of "must-knits" when a random link from somewhere to somewhere else to somewhere even different took me by way of The Loopy Ewe's 1st Quarter Challenge on to some gorgeous patterns from knitspot and several (dozen) clicks later to The Yarn Harlot's Blog and the page about Knitters without Borders which she set up in response to the Asian Tsunami in 2004 and provides funding through charitable donations for Medecins sans Frontier.  I'll be trying out their challenge this month and will donate whatever is in my pot at the end of January.

So, feeling a little bit better about the world, but a little more daunted by my list of queued knits...the housework beckons.

Welcome to Something Sheepy Knits

...not strictly for knitting, but for crochet as well!

This is my first ever blog post, so be gentle with me!!

In this blog, I hope to chart my progress as a seller of knitted and crocheted loveliness and my fledgling attempts at designing my own knit and crochet gifts, toys and accessories...

At the moment, some of my creations cocheted/knitted using either my own patterns or hat patterns by Woolly Wormhead can be found at http://www.woolworkshop.co.uk
